Diane Charyk Norris is a painter of elemental aspects of the natural environment, often tied to water, rocks, ice, glaciers, mountains, and islands. Her new series, “Cascade & Fall”, presents paintings, monotypes, and charcoal drawings of falling water and meandering meltwaters. The work is inspired by unique characteristics, nuances in light, seasonal form, channeling energy, and remote global locations such as Norway, Morocco, and Indonesia. Her work has been featured in solo shows at the Gladstone Gallery in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Fay Chandler Gallery at Maud Morgan Arts, and the Paul Dietrich Gallery. Her work has also been exhibited at Half Crown Design, New England Biolabs, Mount Auburn Hospital, and the Danforth Museum of Art.
